Kuldhara Board Game

200 years ago, deep in the Thar Desert, the village of Kuldhara vanished in a single night. To escape the grasp of Grand Vizier Zalim Singh — who not only oppressed the people but also demanded the daughter of the village chief — the villagers made a radical decision.

They set their beloved village ablaze and vanished like shadows in the night. What remains are legends of curses and hidden gemstones.

Now it’s your moment! As a fearless treasure hunter, you’ll venture into Kuldhara’s ruins. Find the gemstones, craft dazzling jewelry, and escape this ghost town before nightfall!

Kuldhara is played in 4 rounds, where players must properly manage their water in order to perform actions. Each turn, a player may perform up to 2 actions, each of which costs a certain amount of water. Players can either move their camel across the board, dig up gemstones, unload collected gemstones, or reserve a jewelry card for later. Players place unloaded gemstones on their own personal rotating workbench, where they try to make the correct patterns – and thereby craft the most valuable jewelry.

When all players have run out of water, the position of the sun moves and the map rotates before the next round, changing the cost of travel in the desert.

At the end of the fourth round, the sun sets and the game ends – meaning that the player who has accumulated the most valuable jewelry wins!
